Legal
Privacy Policy.
This policy describes what Northbound Advisory collects through the public consultation form and how inquiry data, email communications, and client information are handled.
Inquiry data we collect
The public consultation form on this website collects only the information needed to respond to your request and assess service fit:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Optional: phone number
- Optional: business name
- Optional: state
- Client type
- Service interest
- Optional: deadline, tax years, and records availability
- Optional: preferred contact method and referral source
- A brief description of your situation
Submitting the form also records a consent confirmation and the source of the submission. No engagement is created by submitting the form.
What we do not collect via the public form
The public form is not a secure channel for sensitive documents. We do not collect and you should not submit any of the following through it:
- Social Security numbers
- Passwords
- Complete bank-account numbers
- Complete credit-card numbers
- Full tax returns
- Sensitive legal or medical records
Sensitive documents are accepted only through an approved secure process after preliminary intake or engagement. See secure document submission instructions.
Email and other communications
If you email Northbound Advisory directly, the information in your message and any replies is handled as inquiry correspondence. Email is not a secure channel for sensitive documents — please do not send Social Security numbers, complete account numbers, tax returns, or other confidential records by email. Sensitive documents should be submitted only through an approved secure process after intake or engagement.
Client information
If you become a client, the information you provide for the engagement — including financial records, tax documents, and supporting materials — is handled under the written engagement terms for that engagement. The handling, retention, and return or destruction of client documents is confirmed in writing per engagement.
How we use inquiry information
Information submitted through the public form is used to respond to your inquiry, assess service fit, schedule a preliminary review, and — if you become a client — administer your engagement. We do not sell your information.
Document handling and secure submission
Sensitive documents are handled through an approved secure process. The specific secure document-transfer method is confirmed and provided per engagement. We do not represent that a secure portal exists until it has been connected and tested. The public consultation form is for initial contact only and is not a secure channel for documents.
Third-party tools
Northbound Advisory may use third-party tools for functions such as form delivery, email, document transfer, accounting, and recordkeeping. Where client or inquiry data passes through a third-party tool, that use is limited to the purpose of operating the engagement or responding to the inquiry. Specific tools and their terms are confirmed in writing where required by the engagement.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use advertising cookies and does not sell personal data to third parties. If analytics or similar tools are used, they are limited to understanding site usage and improving the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings. No analytics tool is represented as active on this site unless confirmed and disclosed here.
Retention
Inquiry data is retained only as long as needed to respond to the inquiry and assess service fit. Detailed data-retention periods for client engagements are confirmed in writing per engagement where applicable.
Your rights and contact
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information you submitted through the public form, to the extent applicable. Questions about this policy, your information, or these requests can be sent to [email protected].
This privacy policy is provided for general information and does not constitute legal advice. Northbound Advisory is not a law firm. Final and complete privacy terms are confirmed in writing where required by the engagement.
